There’s nothing quite like coming home to a warm, comforting dinner after a freezing cold evening walking the Salthill Prom or cheering on the kids at their sports. This Quick, Dump-and-Roll Meatballs recipe is just the thing to warm everyone up!
Served with a big bowl of spaghetti and chunks of crusty garlic bread, this dinner is always requested in my house. The garlic bread is perfect for mopping up every last bit of that delicious sauce!
Why You’ll Love These Quick and Easy Meatballs
You know me, I’m always looking for ways to make feeding the family easier without compromising on flavour. This recipe ticks all the boxes, making it perfect for busy weeknights when time is limited.
As the name suggests, these meatballs are all about keeping things simple. They’re hearty, satisfying and perfect for those chilly autumn and winter evenings. Whether you’re coming home from a walk along the prom or spending hours on the sidelines at the kids’ matches, this dinner will hit the spot.
Budget-Friendly Ingredients from Your Store Cupboard
One of my favourite things about this recipe is how many everyday ingredients you probably already have at home. Using store-cupboard staples makes planning dinner easier and helps keep the weekly food shop manageable.
I love recipes that don’t require a special trip to the supermarket. When you have busy family schedules to juggle, having a few reliable ingredients ready to go can make all the difference.
These meatballs are also easy to serve with whatever you have available. Spaghetti is our favourite, but you can switch up the sides to suit your family.
Perfect for Batch Cooking and Freezing
Anything that can be made ahead and frozen gets a big thumbs-up from me! These meatballs are ideal for preparing in advance, giving you a delicious homemade dinner ready for another day.
Making a double batch is a great way to get ahead when you have the time. Simply freeze the extra portions for those evenings when cooking from scratch feels like too much effort.
It’s such a handy way to make family mealtimes less stressful. You’ll thank yourself later when you remember there’s a comforting dinner waiting in the freezer!
