Granola Dust

This homemade superfood blend combines toasted oats, a mix of nuts and seeds, dried fruit, and a hint of cocoa for a naturally sweet and chocolatey flavour. It’s super versatile — perfect to sprinkle over yoghurt or porridge, mix into pancake or muffin batter- an easy, tasty way to nourish your body throughout the week with minimal effort.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g porridge oats
  • 150 g unsalted mixed nuts, such as walnuts, Brazils, hazelnuts, pecans, pistachios, cashews
  • 50 g mixed seeds, such as chia, poppy, sunflower, sesame, linseed, pumpkin, hemp
  • 125 g mixed dried fruit, such as, cranberries, dates,sour cherries, mango, apricots, figs, sultanas
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • **I added hazelnuts cashews, sunflower, pumpkin, hemp, dried dates and raisins

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven 170ºc fan. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Measure the oats, nuts, seeds onto the tray.
  • Toast in the oven for 30 minutes checking halfway through. They should be lightly toasted all over.
  • ‼️Leave to cool completely. This is important!!
  • Add the dried fruit and blend in a powerful blender until it turns to dust- I used my Ninja Nutri Blender @ninjakitchenie.
  • Store in an airtight container for 1 month.
