Brownie truffle balls

These no-bake brownie truffle balls are quick, easy, and delicious. A perfect homemade edible gift ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup dried dates – 20 approx or Medjool dates, pitted
  • 2 tbsp oat flour or ground almonds I blended oats in my smoothie blender
  • 2 tbsp nut butter I used almond, peanut butter, cashew or biscoff, tinned caramel or tahini as a nut butter alternative
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil or melted coconut oil
  • 1.5 tbsp cocoa powder**
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract**
  • Pinch salt
  • -Change the flavour add zest of one orange some peppermint flavouring or 1 tbsp freeze dried raspberry powder
  • To coat
  • 200 g white chocolate melted** 2 bars
  • 200 g milk chocolate melted** (2 bars

Instructions
 

  • If using dried dates, soak them in boiling water for 10 minutes, then drain and discard the water – to get them nice and soft. Then add them to the blender along with the other ingredients. Blend until nice and smooth. (If using medjool dates add them straight to the blender)
  • Divide into 12 equal balls
  • Chill in the freezer or fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Melt both the milk and white chocolate gently in the microwave or in a bowl over simmering water. Then coat each ball with chocolate, drizzle the tops with the extra chocolate. Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Note: there will be left over melted chocolate, mix together, add in some rice krispies and make some krispy cup teats.
  • Storage: Good for 5 days in the fridge or air tight container in the cupboard.
  • Gifting: Place in suitable gift boxes or bags, add a festive ribbon and gift tag with a message for a personal touch.
