I have always loved food. I grew up in rural Ireland where food was traditional and basic but alway made with wholesome and locally grown ingredients. I’ve always been an adventurous eater. When I got the opportunity to travel it opened up the world of food and flavour even more.
I’ve always had a passion for food, but it took some time for me to master the art of cooking. My skills were quite basic until I trained as a chef in my 20s. Working in professional kitchens for several years equipped me with the techniques I needed to cook well for my family.
