Looking for a fun and healthier way to cool down this summer? These Banana “Magnum” Ice Pops creamy, chocolatey, and made with real fruit – perfect for kids and grown-ups!
This recipe is super simple, family-approved, and way better for you than store-bought popsicles – no hidden nasties here! Plus, it’s a fun kitchen activity to do with the kids. Win-win!
The first time we made these ice pops, it was a sunny afternoon and the kids were running wild in the garden—water fights, chalk drawings, the works. I brought out the ice pops, and you’d think I was handing out treasure!
They took one bite and their faces lit up—“This tastes like real ice cream!” one shouted, already covered in chocolate. We sat on a blanket, sticky fingers and chocolatey smiles everywhere, just enjoying the moment.
It was simple, sweet, and honestly? One of our favourite summer memories.
Get the Kids Involved!
Making these ice pops is a fun little project the whole family can enjoy. Kids can:
- Peel and break up the bananas
- Help scoop yogurt into the blender
- Press the buttons (the best part, obviously!)
- Carefully pour the mix into the moulds
- Add chopped nuts (if you’re using them)
- And, of course… taste-test everything!
It’s messy, silly, and full of giggles—just the way summer should be. Plus, they’ll be extra proud when they get to eat something they helped make!
How We Eat Our Banana “Magnum” Ice Pops
There’s no right way to enjoy these ice pops… but here’s how it usually goes at our house:
- We grab them straight from the freezer and run outside before they melt in our hands.
- Someone always takes a bite so big, they get brain freeze. Every. Time. 😅
- We end up with chocolate on chins, fingers, and probably a patch of grass too.
- The dog watches very closely, just in case someone drops a piece.
